For the third time in as many days, the Poughkeepsie Water Control Plant issued an alert, as 14,000 gallons of untreated waste was spilled into the Hudson River over a span of just 25 minutes in Dutchess County following the storms.

The discharge was reported at approximately 9:15 p.m. on Tuesday night. The WPCP announced the incident on Wednesday morning.

On Monday, 321,000 gallons of untreated waste was spilled into the Hudson River near Rinaldi Boulevard. The WPCP cited heavy rain, thunderstorms and a one-inch accumulation of rain for the discharge. The following day, 6,000 gallons of waste spilled at approximately 2 p.m.
